• Appeared in 31 games for Double-A Bowie, hitting .243 (28-115) with five home runs and 19 RBI
• Placed on the season ending disabled list May 26 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn right labrum
• Had a career-high 16-game hitting streak from April 16 - May 8, over which he hit .356 (21-59) with four home runs, 15 RBI and a .397 OBP. The 16-game streak was tied for the sixth-longest in the Eastern League in 2015
• Batted .291 (23-79) with five home runs and 18 RBI against right-handed pitching
• All five of his home runs came with runners on base, as he batted .311 (19-61) with runners on base
• Hit a two-out, pinch-hit, walk-off grand slam in an 11-9 win vs. Harrisburg, May 3
2014: Established career-best marks in most offensive categories with Double-A Chattanooga in the Dodgers system, as he set career-highs in hits (94), doubles (32), triples (4), homers (7, tied with 2012) and RBI (53) in 116 games...Batted .290 (27-93) with runners in scoring position and hit .308 (49-159) with runners on base...Threw out 29 of 101 attempted base stealers (28.7%)...Led catchers in the Southern League in putouts (652) and assists (74)...Entered the season rated as the #26 prospect in the Dodgers organization.
2013: Appeared in 64 games for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, batting .195 with three home runs and 21 RBI...Hit .281 with two outs and runners in scoring position...In between stints with Rancho Cucamonga, appeared in nine games in July with Rookie-level AZL Dodgers, compiling an OBP of .306 with seven hits and five RBI.
2012: Played 80 games with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, appearing at 72 games as a catcher and eight games as a DH…Hit .358 (29-81) with two home runs and 15 RBI against left-handed pitching…Compiled a 10-game hitting streak from 5/5 - 5/18, hitting .385 (15-39) with three doubles and seven RBI.
2011: Made his professional debut with the AZL Dodgers, appearing in 42 games and hitting .294 (45-153)...Had an 11-game hitting streak from August 1-13, over which he hit .369 (15-41) with nine RBI...Batted .326 (42-129) with 13 doubles and 30 RBI against righties...Went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBI, July 19 at the AZL Reds.
PERSONAL: Chris Charles O'Brien was acquired by Baltimore from the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with RHP Ben Rowen, for C Brian Ward & RHP Ryan Webb, 4/9/15...Originally selected by the Dodgers in the 18th round of the 2011 draft...Attended Wichita State, where he was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2011 after hitting .410 with a .495 OBP in 65 games for the Shockers...Named First Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association in 2011...Attended Bishop Kelly High School in Tulsa, OK, where he was teammates with AL Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel...His father, Charlie O'Brien, played 15 seasons in the Major Leagues with eight different organizations (OAK, MIL, NYM, ATL, TOR, CHW, ANA, MON)...Charlie, who won a World Series title with Atlanta in 1995, was the first catcher to ever use a hockey-style catcher's mask.
