School Visitations

Wilmington Blue Rocks mascot Rocky Bluewinkle, along with a member of the front office staff will make school visitations. The focus of the school visit will be to promote the importance of reading. "Casey at the Bat" and "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" will be read to the children while Rocky acts out the stories, with some assistance from your students.

The program will typically last 25-35 minutes and is geared toward Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. All students will be a part of Rocky's Reading Challenge. The school visitations take place during February and March. Schools may sign up for Rocky's school visitation program as early as Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

To arrange an appearance for your school or for more information, please contact Kevin P. Linton at Visitations will be given on a first come, first serve basis to all requests AFTER 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 13.

Due to the number of requests we receive your audience size must include a minimum of 125 children.
